I am fed up. I have had enough of these so-called constitutional defenders who are truly atheists masked as concerned Americans. Groups such as Americans United for Separation of Church and State go to great pains to denounce their critics’ charges that they are anti-religious. They portray themselves as vigilant protectors of the American way of life… give me a break. Their whole purpose for existence is to remove any semblance of God in our society.
I am also equally as fed up with the religious groups in our country which are content on sitting back and allowing the smaller groups of us to make noise in the defense of Christian values without providing us any more than lip service.
I understand the conflict, to voice a vaguely political view today risks the loss of their tax-exemption status. GET OVER IT. What’s more important, the Christian Churches in the US guiding their flocks and energizing their beliefs for what is right or protecting the security of the financial bottom line?
If you teach your followers that abortion is killing innocent life then come out and tell your congregation that voting for a candidate that supports abortion rights is WRONG! - Don’t allow them to come to the Altar and receive the precious blood of Christ and all that he teaches if you know full well that in the voting booth they disregard what it stands for. Do not allow these egocentric politicians to portray themselves as Holy defenders of the faith when they publicly rebuke the very foundations of the Church when it counts!
If you believe that Christians can provide the homeless with not only daily sustenance and a warm coat but also with love and compassion for the individual then guide your people to action in supporting government funding to give them the means. If you believe that judges should have the guidance of a conscience rooted in God’s law it is time to stop the hedging of bets and become the force that is so needed today.
How can we expect people to stand on their convictions if our Church leadership wavers on theirs based on political and finanical pressure?

There are a group in Michigan of about 5-7 who are being kicked out of thier church because they voted for Kerry. I got into an argument with my soon to be mother-in-law over this. I agreed with you. If you're not going to follow your church's teaching there is no reason they should have you there.
Careful, conservative, you'll be getting hate mail from that pompus fool Barry Lynn. LOL!!
Oh so how I hope :)
