Many years ago, there was a TV game show called-"To Tell The Truth?" A group of celeberties would question three people, all claiming to be the same person. After a period of time elasped the celeberties would vote for the person they thought actually was who they said they were. Finally the host of the show would say: "And now, will the real _______, please stand up!" Here's the kicker folks--a real-life "To Tell The Truth?" is being played out in the United States Senate, but it far from a TV game show.
Conservative and pro-family organizations across the country were concerned about the appointment of Arlen Specter as Chairman of the influential Senate Judiciary Committee, because of the possibility that a "litmus test" would be used with respect to President Bush's judicial nominations. An allegation that Specter denied in a public statement
Well, it appears that those concerns were more than justified, because according to the American Family Association, the Senior Senator from the Keystone State is set to vote with liberal democrats to keep the filibuster in place.
With critical votes looming on the Senate Floor, namely on the nominations of Judge Janice Rogers Brown, and Judge Priscilla Owen, Specter's position is not clear. This should concern not only the citizens of Pennsylvania, but conservative citizens throughout America.
Our country stands at a moral crossroads, and it is clear that what is needed is strong conservative leadership, not waffeling senators who couldn't find their way to the Senate Floor without a road map. SO WILL THE REAL ARLEN SPECTER PLEASE STAND UP--IF YOU CAN THAT IS?

To Sesamestreetwatcher: I could not have said this better myself. Maybe conservative groups should be trying to defeat HIM when he comes up for re-election. Wouldn't you agree?
