The First Amendment says people have freedom of religion, speech and expression, but we are not allowed to acknowledge God in public places.
The Second Amendment says that "the rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed," but there are those who believe that only the police and the military should have firearms. Well let's not forget the criminal too!
The Fourth Amendment says that a person shall be protected against "unreasonable searches and seizures," but there are those occasions when the police can enter your home without a warrant. Oh!! and what happens when they make a mistake???
The Fifth Amendment says that no person shall be "deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law, nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation," however a recent decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, (Kelo v. City of New London) is about to turn that protection on its head.
The hammer and chisel that, so far has been used to whittle away at our constitutional freedoms and liberties, which our Founding Fathers fought and died to establish, has turned into a sledge hammer, and the foundation of our Republic is beginning to crumble.
One simply has to wonder how long the American people will continue to sit on their hands and refuse to become actively involved in the issues of our day--issues that shape our everyday lives and will affect the lives of our children and grandchildren for years to come.
WAKE UP AMERICA--BEFORE OUR CONSTITUTION ISN'T WORTH THE PAPER IT'S PRINTED ON!!!! AND THAT DAY IS COMING SOONER THAN YOU MAY THINK!!!!!
