Homeland Security and Executive Powers

Is it me or have we perverted the Bill of Rights.. ok yes we have but specifically on who it covers?

American citizens are protected under the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. No one on a visa from another country or illegal alien is protected so why are liberals so intent on clouding the issue of Homeland Security? I am not a lover of the Patriot Act however certain pieces of this legislation have been successful. But the pros and cons of that particular act aside... it is reasonable to scrutinize NON-citizens who are here or who wish to come here for any reason albeit college, professional or otherwise.

It is time that congress takes the provision of engaging American troops away from the all Presidents. This has only proved to add a new divide among the American public. The founding fathers explicitly wrote that "Congress shall have the power to declare war” - This is where this power should remain. One man no matter how just should wield this type of power for our nation.
