I would think it not unreasonable for Republicans to want to nominate say ... A REPUBLICAN" for President of the United States. John McCain is no such candidate. While we truly owe Mr. McCain all the respect and honor for his sacrifices that we can muster, we do not owe him a political reparation. This seudo-corrination seven months removed from our last battle is simply the latest attempt of the liberal media to SOMEHOW get one of their ilk into the White House...
AP: "Clinton, McCain 'Gorillas' of 2008 Race"
WASHINGTON - If you want to be the next president, it's time to start running — unless your name is
Hillary Rodham Clinton or John McCain. They can wait. And wait, as front-runners tend to do.
This premature prognostication is another reason that our political representatives cannot accomplish anything in terms of real compromise or action on charged issues. They are so afraid of getting sidelined by a position that they take no position at all... at least on record.

PA-Here's an interesting question for you--What's your thoughts on Article II, Section 1, Clause 4 of the U.S. Constitution, requiring persons to be a "natural born" citizen of the United States to qualify to run for President?
McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone. Your thoughts on this?
PA-Here are the links to the articles if you are interested:

Is he not a natural born citizen if born in the "Panama Canal Zone" - Wouldn't this have been vetted already since he has been a candidate for Pres in prior elections...
I'm drawing that conclusion from the articles. Although the Canal Zone was a U.S. possession it was not part of the Continental US. I think that was the premise for the provision in the Constitution. Unless I am drawing the wrong conclusion. Sounds a bit technical I know. Just tossing out a discussion issue.
what AM radio guy told you this was a pseudo-coronation? i ask because you misspelled that badly, and you don't seem to be thinking for yourself.
mccain's voted party line the whole way. that is, he's against women and doctors making reproductive decisions (i'm talking about birth control pills -- not abortion), he's spent unprecedented amounts of money, and he doesn't care about people who work for a living as much as he cares about people who make fat campaign contributions.
Yes Jami I have whole group of people who think for me they're called Democrats
1. His position on abortion is wishy-washy at best.
2. His position on states rights are that the federal government knows better (not conservative at all)
3. His position on conservative judges was shown by his "Compromise" with other moderate republicans and "Democrats" -
If you can look at McCain and tell yourself he is a conservative republican then you need to consider who's influencing you! -
BUT - your entitled to your opinion and I respect it
Sorry about the spelling... spellcheck was absent that day>>>
