According to today's (12/28/2005) "Intercessors For America" e-letter, the following is the schedule for the proceedings on the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court of the United States.
JANUARY 9, 2006 -Confirmation Hearings begin before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Senators and Judge Alito give opening statements.
JANUARY 10-13, 2006 - Senators question Judge Alito
JANUARY 17, 2006 - Senate Judiciary Committee votes
JANUARY 18-20, 2006 - Floor Debate begins in the Senate
JANUARY 20, 2006 - Full Senate votes on the confirmation of Judge Alito
Considering all the bluster and hubris that we heard from the Schumer's, Leahy's, Boxer's, Biden's and Kennedy's, during the Roberts debate, maybe the President and Judge Alito should consider selling tickets, to this national three-ring circus.
The American people deserve a thoughtful and deliberate proceeding on the Alito nomination, not some ridiculous dog-and-pony show, with our so-called national leaders making complete idiots of themselves, which for some is not very hard to do.
