AND THEN THERE WERE TWO!!

With the withdrawl of Senator Jeff Piccola and former Lt. Governor Bill Scranton from the Republican primary, all that is left is Jim Panyard and Lynn Swann to face off against "Fast Eddie" Rendell in November.

There are unfortunately a few problem areas that need to be considered:

  1. Jim Panyard has the core/traditional conservative values but he doesn't have the state-wide name recognition.
  2. Lynn Swann has the state-wide name recognition, but he is lacking in the core/traditional conservative values.
So here's the dilemma--WHERE DO CONSERVATIVES IN PENNSYLVANIA THROW THEIR SUPPORT????

At the time this posting is being written Swann has received the endorsement of the Republican State Committee, so if Panyard continues his "run" he will be bucking his Party's Leadership. At this critical time in our State's history from a moral issues standpoint, I have to wonder about any candidate taking such a dangerous and uncertain course.

In the beginning of this campaign, I had voiced my support for Jim Panyard. This decision was based purely on his strong conservative views, however with the Primary Elections less than 4 months away, I believe that we must unite behind the "front-runner," and that's LYNN SWANN as the best possible candidate to send "Fast Eddie" Rendell back to Philadelphia as a private citizen.
