WHAT COST HEALTH CARE????

"Within 10 years an aging American will spend one out of every 5 dollars on health care." So say our government analysts who see no end to the rising cost of going to the doctor and getting medication. The analysts continue that by the 2015 the cost of health care in the United States will reach $4 trillion dollars!!

In my never to be humble opinion, this is simply outrageous!! In a country as rich and blessed, as the United States obviously is, it is unacceptable that Americans must decide between getting necessary medications or buying groceries for their family--THIS JUST SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING IN AMERICA!

As a personal rule, I am loath to advocate any form of government regulation of our everyday lives, but in this particular instance, this is the exception, and the government has an obligation, NO the responsibility to intervene on behalf of every American citizen who struggles with the high cost of medications and medical treatment.

For too many years Insurance companies have dictated the quality of health care in America. THIS MUST BE STOPPED AT ALL COSTS, and it is an area in which this Administration and those previous have failed miserably.

It is long overdue for the high priced Insurance companies to be reigned in and the cost of health care in America is put back where it belongs--in the hands of the American people and their physicians, and if the Government has to step in to get this accomplished--then so be it!
