Enjoying it thoroughly!

Good morning Pennsylvania

If you haven't noticed, a new day has dawned. The people "didn't forget", they didn't "see other things as more important". The people did just as American people need to do, they staged a bloodless coup with the ballot box. This is what America is all about. We have the right, nea the obligation to voice our discontent with our elected representation.
CONGRATULATIONS PENNSYLVANIA

Is the "mission accomplished" as so nonchalantly put by Russ Diamond?, absolutely and definitely NOT. We have now entrusted others to do our work for us in the legislature but the reform movement does not end here. This new chamber must act immediately to do what those others would not and apparently could not. They must enact a real property tax reform. They must put an end to the dilusion of the homosexual cults and pass the marriage protection ammendment. They must legislate with honesty and integrity.

Again, Congratulations Pennsylvanians we have started down the road to legislative reform, but that road is long and it is full of twists and we must keep our eyes on the stop signs and detours that our legislators may place along the way.

(Oh, I can't let the opportunity go by without....)

Mr. Maitland, I don't want to tell you I told you so but I will anyway.. I advised you July 5th of last year that your vote for the payraise was a misstep, I advised you that you should get out in front admit your mistake and lead the charge for payback and reversal or your tenure in the house would be ending, but you said and I quote "the people are mad now but they will eventually calm down and forget. Other things will be more important to them." Well I hope your law school tuition that the 91st district paid for with that money will come in handy now that you are UNEMPLOYED. You mention that you might look to run for the Senate seat in 2008. Guess what. Comments like "I won't pay it back. I don't feel an obligation" will not be forgotten. That is if I have anything to say about it. And you know me, I always have something to say! LOL

To quote a former raido host in Harrisburg--"It's a Beautiful Day in Pennsylvania!" But it will be up to WE,THE PEOPLE to see that there are many other beautiful days to come in our great Commonwealth. I totally agree with you PA, that this mission is NOT accomplished--in fact it has just begun, because WE as a citizenry have a responsibility to see that such arrogance and greed is NEVER again shown by those WE have chosen to represent our interests, whether they are in Harrisburg or Washington is irrelevant. We should enjoy the victory, but let's not bask too long, because there is still much work to do!
