I haven’t been in the library for a few weeks. I walked in the door of the East Shore Area Library, and was appalled to see this sign hanging on their display board for all little eyes to see. On the library site Click here they are telling everyone about “Governor Ed Rendell recently proposed restoring library funding in the amount of $75.5 million as part of the 2006/07 state budget. If the Governor’s proposal becomes law, library funding will be restored at slightly above the level it was prior to the massive cuts of 2003. This is good news for everyone who uses public libraries!” This "pork talk" was back in March. I am assuming by this nice laminated poster, and longer hours they have more money. It’s time we let all the sponsors of the Dauphin County Area Library know we are unhappy with the libraries conduct, and to ask them to withhold their funding. Give me a break! Why not try having a “Stay at Home Mom Pride month?”
