ON TO THE SENATE FLOOR

The vote of the Senate Judiciary Committee is in and the nomination of John G. Roberts to be the 17th Chief Justice of the United States Supreme court was 13 Yeas and 5 Nays. What surprised me the most was the fact that 3 Democratic Members, specifically Senators Leahy, Kohl and Feingold broke with party ranks and supported this important nomination.

In spite of the Liberal rhetoric, I am confident that this process will move forward, as will that of the next nominee, and that our Country will soon have a Full Supreme Court, as there are many critical issues that confront our Nation and that will ultimately come before the High Court.
