Government is deploying a segment of the army in Afghanistan that
looks like it could be under the command of Darth Vader. The "BigDog"
so named for its animal-like appearance, is a robotic soldier able to
deliver supplies (and while not mentioned in the article could be the
first generation of non-human infantry). As children we watched as
the Rebel alliance fought valiantly against the stronger and more
powerful imperial empire. Can reality soon reach fantasy? Far
fetched? - maybe not so afterall.
