Taxes and our money

We're getting it in the proverbial Arss and no one wants to stop it?

I would like someone (non-elected official) to tell me why we as normal American citizens are not screaming to our elected officials for them to get on board a flat tax. How can any reasonably intelligent person not support a tax methodology that distributes the tax burden equally among all people, allows us all to know exactly how much tax we will be paying and will support the financial end of our federal government 120 percent. This could not only eliminate the national debt in much quicker time but it would also more than likely make null the ever increasing argument over social security. A flat tax of even 10 percent would increase the federal intake by as much as 15 percent.

Now there is a reason I asked that any non-elected official tell me... and that is because the only individuals hurt by such an event would be the politicians themselves! It would remove their slush money completely that comes from special interest groups. Accountants would simply have to go back to doing what they were intended for in the first place - assist businesses in tracking their income and expenditures for the sake of the companies. Imagine how much corporate money would be freed up for profit sharing if there were no more tax loopholes to look for and no payoffs to politicians!

If you'd like to join "Americans for the Flat Tax" - email dancolgan@suscom.net - your voice is going to be heard ... cause we're going to shout very loudly!
