I have been a lifelong Republican. The reasons for this are a deep seeded belief that the Republican party was rooted in the same philosophies as I. Life (was a gift from God and begins at conception), Liberty - States in the union hold the power over their own lands (and their RIGHT to appropriate and legislate their own laws based on the will of the people was/is to be defended at all cost) and defense of the constitution as it was written ( not as it is interpreted by liberal minds).
...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,...
It may be time to change the name of this blog. I am no more content in the least with what our Republican representatives have been able to accomplish nor the proposals they have offered as I am the democrats.
I am a strong believer in the Constitution and the other foundations of our republic, verbatim. "Endowed by their creator,..", "In God We Trust", .. "One Nation Under God"... does anyone see a pattern here? Our country will not dictate to you who or what you worship, you are free to do so as you please..however that statement goes for you as well. You will not dictate that God cannot be apart of anyone else's life either.
I must say that I have been researching the "National Constitution Party" and have read it's platform. Those of you who have been struggling with the same issues, take a moment and read it. You may find more there than you expect. I'm not abandoning the republican platform nor my general support of it, I only suggest that as our national leaders continue on this path, we should be wide-eyed to the "Left" of the republican party and its growing influence within. Should push come to shove or a continued migration to the "Giuliani's and McCains" occur... well I guess you could say there are others who share core beliefs and maybe, just maybe more accurately represent the best interests of our country.

I have to agree with Michael Savage on this, and highly recommend his radio show to fellow conservatives. There is nolonger a two party system, we have Republicrats and Demicans. The more Liberal Left have beliefs that are closer to the Progressives or Socialist party and are pushing those platforms strong. It is time the Right stands up for the conservative idelas of our founding fathers.

I heard a fantastic vantagepoint the other day that completely identifies my reasons for looking at the constitution party ...
The statement was in response to my questioning certain aspects republican politics and positions on certain issues...
'We will be behind the administration when it is conservative.'
When it is CONSERVATIVE! - That's the key - in certain instances that cannot be said for this republican administration.
Where did that statement come from? I like it!

Ok - that statement was originally made by Mike Pence member of Congress from Indiana and the current chair of the House Republican Study Committee. It was in an email reply to some questions I posed to Todd Platts, US HOR, PA -
Not that Mr. Platts should be given credit for even acknowledging the statement since he is as far from conservative as a republican can get without being a democrat
