BILLS REPEALING PAY RAISE NOT TO BE FOUND ON HOUSE AGENDA-WHAT A SHOCK?

http://www.wgal.com/news/5173116/detail.html

The "article link" above is somewhat self-explanatory, but just allow me a brief comment.

In case no one is aware of this, but John Perzel, is not only the Speaker of the State House of Representatives, he also chairs the House Rules Committee, where conveniently enough the bills repealing the pay raise were referred. In the words of my favorite radio-talk show host--"GIVE ME A PHYSICAL BREAK!!" These bills were doomed before they were introduced and everyone knows it.

This issue will be settled, but it will have to be dealt with by the voters of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We can start by sending a clear NO VOTE ON RETENTION to Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justices Sandra Schultz Newman and Russell Nigro on November 8th. State House and Senate Members-I hope you're looking over your shoulders, because your day is coming in 2006.

According to a WGAL.com online poll, 98% of those who responded believe that the Legislative pay raise should be repealed. A whopping 2% actually said it should not-I'm not sure what these folks were thinking. Seriously, given the lop-sided result I would think that our so-called leaders should be looking over their collective shoulders--election day 2006 is not that far off!!
