JIM PANYARD FOR GOVERNOR OF PA IN 2006!!

Earlier this month, I wrote to the 4 major Republican candidates who will be attempting to unseat "Fast Eddie" Rendell from the Governor's Mansion next year--Jim Panyard, Jeff Piccola, Bill Scranton & Lynn Swann. To date only one has seen fit to respond. Care to hazard a guess as to who it was? Would you be surprised to find out that it was JIM PANYARD? Well folks that's precisely who it was, and I'm not shocked that the other 3 have so far remained silent.

As I have said so many times before, Pennsylvania and the Country overall are facing a serious moral crisis, and it will take strong conservative leadership to deal with the many problems that are before us. Waffaling and double-talking politicians, saying what they think the People of the Commonwealth want to hear simply is not going to get the job done.

Having visited Mr. Panyard's website (www.Panyard4Gov.com) and read his campaign literature, as well as his personal response to my correspondence, I conclude that he is not just carrying his Christian and Conservative beliefs on his sleeve--He truly means what he is saying, and is prepared, if elected to put his words into action. Just for the record--here is a brief summary of his responses to the questions I asked in my letter:

JIM PANYARD WOULD SUPPORT AN AMENDMENT TO THE PENNSYLVANIA CONSTITUTION TO DEFINE MARRIAGE AS THE SACRED UNION OF ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN.

JIM PANYARD WOULD SUPPORTTRUE INITIATIVE AND REFERENDUM IN PENNSYLVANIA.

JIM PANYARD WOULD SUPPORT A REQUIREMENT THAT ANY LEGISLATIVE OR EXECUTIVE BRANCH PAY RAISE WOULD BE SUBJECT TO A STATE-WIDE VOTE OF THE PEOPLE OF PENNSYLVANIA.

IF PASSED BY THE LEGISLATURE, JIM PANYARD WOULD SIGN LEGISLATION REPEALING ACT 71 OF 2004, WHICH BROUGHT THE CURSE OF CASINO-STYLE GAMBLING TO OUR COMMONWEALTH.

FINALLY, IF PASSED BY THE LEGISLATURE, JIM PANYARD WOULD SIGN LEGISLATION REPEALING ACT 84 OF 1988 WHICH AUTHORIZED "AGENCY SHOP" IN PENNSYLVANIA, AND WOULD RESTORE THE RIGHT OF EVERY PUBLIC EMPLOYEE TO DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES WHETHER OR NOT THEY WISH TO SUPPORT A LABOR UNION.

Of course, these are not the only issues facing Pennsylvania, but they are the ones that are uppermost in my mind, as an individual citizen and voter. I am convinced that Jim Panyard is the RIGHT choice to lead the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and that's why I'm supporting his candidacy in 2006, and I encourage every citizen/voter in the Commonwealth to consider doing the same.
