IT'S REPEALED---BUT

In the words of my favorite radio talk show host--"Give me a physical break!" The General Assembly passed and "Fast Eddie" signed a bill that repealed the outrageous and unconstitutional pay raise of 4 months ago, but they are not required to return the "unvouchered expenses" they have already received.

So pardon me for asking: Just what was the whole point of this exercise? The answer is rather simple, to force our greedy and arrogant Legislators to return what they were not entitled to.

Let's be clear about one thing--our so-called leaders did not act out of any sense of remorse for what they did 4 months ago, they were responding to the firestorm of criticism and protest unleashed by the people of Pennsylvania for their obvious lack of judgment and expression of arrogance and greed, and it's not over by a long shot. Remember the Primaries are in May and the General Election is in November, 2006

I believe the "article link" from an editorial in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review expresses my views quite satisfactorily. I think most of you will agree.

I've said it once and I'll say it over and over--The Government is answerable to the PEOPLE, the PEOPLE are NOT answerable to the Government. Maybe someone should deliver that message to those chuckle-heads in the State Capital.
