The legislation of Stupidity

Have you heard about this... A New York Senator has nothing better to do with his time but to try fine individuals who cross the street wearing an IPod or other listening device. Come on folks, dont' these people have better things to concentrate on. We don't need government stepping in and attempting to solve what should be something we learned when we were 3 or 4. You look both ways before crossing the street. AHHHH but you can't hear traffic if you have an IPOD on... What part of LOOK don't people understand. People are either careful or not and most likely would rush out onto the street with or without the hindrence of an IPod. What is more freightening is the fact that this Senator felt it necessary to take it upon himself to STOP this tragic thing from happening. Why not instead, save wasting months of taxpayer money... and make a public service announcement for people to use common sense when crossing the street, (oh but that would seem condescending).. well if the Ipod fits....
