I guess that sounds like a pretty ridiculous question, but in our current political climate it seems somewhat appropriate--and here's why--
I used to look forward to staying up to 11:00 pm., or later to find out which candidate won in the primary or general election.
I used to look forward to the respective parties nominating convention to find out which candidate would represent the Republican and Democratic parties in upcoming presidential elections. But given our mechanized and computerized society such things now appear to be a purple cow.
Projections have taken the fun and anticipation out of the process. For example: Hillary Clinton was declared the winner of the Pennsylvania at 9:00 PM., EDT. The polls had been closed for barely an hour before this monumental announcement was made.
I guess I'm getting too old and cynical, but I miss those good old days.
Anybody out there feel the same way? I'd like to hear from you!
