As We Walk Away

In an accompanying cover letter to Chuck Baldwin’s recent article, “Conservatives lost more than an election,” I used an analogy of a hijacked vehicle that no longer could take those who valued freedom, sovereignty and a constitutional government where they wished to go.

By way of continuing that analogy I would like point out what we have learned (or should have learned) as we walk away from the GOP wreck known as the 2008 presidential election campaign..

First and foremost we obviously need a new vehicle as the old one crashed and burned beyond recognition, and thus beyond repair.

We learned that a candidate with a life-long liberal voting record is a very tough sell to a political party with a conservative core constituency - no matter how much lipstick is used in an effort to disguise the truth.

The GOP leadership has been clearly exposed as minions of the neo-conservatives and New World Order groups such as the CFR- even to the extent they will work against a candidate who has been true to the party’s ideals and aspirations. Ideals and aspirations these same party leaders continue to pay lip-service to in order to gain financial support from the party’s core membership. This is not a new fact of life but does represent a new awareness on the part of many within the party.

We have come to discover many leaders of the so-call religious right were so compromised that rather than support candidates whose values more-closely parallel those espoused in the bible they chose to support candidates whose values were often at odds with those of the bible. This had been a group that many conservatives had looked to for guidance in the past, but it appears they were poorly served by most of them. If nothing else comes out of this experience perhaps these men and women of the cloth will no longer be given a free pass based solely on their vocation when it comes to political recommendations. Perhaps in the future their political preferences will be subject to the same critical scrutiny as are those from the rest of us, before they are accepted or rejected.

Once again, much to their sorrow, republicans are again reminded that success for them lay in promoting real republican conservative values. Every time they try to ”me-too” the democrats they lose, and its not surprising. Why should voters choose an imitation of a liberal when they can select the real thing with a democrat? Many realized McCain was a liberal pretending to be a conservative in order to entice conservatives to vote for him. The failure of that deception was confirmed with the selection of Sarah Palin to bolster his sagging campaign. His periodic criticism of Obama’s position on some of the issues became farcical when it was realized he had actually voted in the past for what Obama was proposing. A lot of his and the party’s credibility was lost at that point. At other times McCain looked very much the reluctant warrior.

Don’t think for a minute this loss was anything but the responsibility of the party’s leadership. When McCain was threatened by Romney’s climb into serious contention they had Romney drop out of the campaign mysteriously (yes, his campaign manager was a CFR). Their micro-managing of the primary campaign virtually assured the party of a weaker candidate whereas the democrats allowed their candidates to slug it out until someone emerged victorious. That process alone guaranteed the democrats of a tougher if not a more principled candidate. However, those who knew McCain and his voting record well, did not consider him particularly principled (say like Ron Paul) so the party had no noticeable advantage on that issue to promote..

Then there is the media, the mainstream media (MSM) to be more precise. Only those who are part of the Obama cult could fail to see the bias in their day in and day out pronouncements during the campaign. Once again this is certainly not a new revelation to many but never has it been so obvious that even those who have tended to ignore the signs in the past can escape the reality of what has been taking place. When some members of the media are publicly stating their media brethren are “in the tank“ for Obama you know the bias has to be pervasive.

The MSM will be one of, if not the single biggest obstacle of those who are putting a new vehicle together to carry those who value freedom, sovereignty and a constitutional government in the direction they want to go. That is because they not only oppose the political but the cultural and social aspirations of those who will be riding in this new vehicle. That in turn is due to the fact the MSM is heavily populated by members of the New World Order whose agenda is to take away our sovereignty, our freedom and our constitutional form of government.

It is extremely important that all of us remember it is impossible to reach a peaceful accommodation with those who wish to destroy our country and our way of life. I am reminded of another time and another place when our country was in a struggle with communism and the Soviet Union. They kept saying they really wanted “peace” and if we would only do this or do that we could all have peace. Unfortunately there were some in our country who knowingly, or unknowingly, parroted that message. Once again they were greatly aided and abetted by many in the MSM at the time.

However, what most Americans were not told and thus did not understand, was that the communist definition of peace is, ” the absence of war because all of the country or a society had now embraced communism” - i.e. peace will be achieved once they win. Had the MSM made that distinction clear to the American people from the beginning, history would have played out quite differently.

Today we face some of the same challenges faced then, only the New World Order groups are much closer to achieving their agenda now then they were back then – i.e. they more tightly control the “levers of power” in our country. That makes our job all the more difficult but at the same time all the more critical that we do succeed in getting back control of our country.

While the task ahead of us is daunting, to fail is not an acceptable option. Poll after poll confirms that the majority of americans still tend toward conservatism rather than liberalism. The problem is that those who wish our nation harm have thru stealth and deception, and over time, obtained position of power and control all out of proportion to their numbers. They have been able to do this with the aid of the MSM and the New World Order groups. This is very reminiscent of how the communist were able to have so much influence in a bygone era.

We vastly outnumber the New World Order members so our challenge is to organize and utilize that tremendous advantage so that a small group of elitist traitors do not make slaves of us all.
